Synopsis
Nate Busko has spent 12 of his 17 years running from his past. Tired of being bounced from foster home to foster home, he now lives in his car, eats corn husks, and uses running as a shower. As darkness falls, he couldn’t be more different from his cocky, cocky high school self. He’s haunted by fragments of traumatic memories from his past. Step into the shoes of popular high school drama teacher Stan Deen, who is struggling with his own issues. He sees Nate’s hidden talent and need for guidance where no other teacher sees it, and decides to help. However, in a shocking turn of events, Nate is arrested in the middle of school and led away in handcuffs. Stan follows Nate to the police station and not only arranges for bail, but agrees to take Nate back to his own home, despite the raised eyebrows of his fellow teachers. Stan is willing to do anything to help his troubled student. But the question is: can you really help someone if you are not willing to help yourself?
