Synopsis
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work relies on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to be cast, but was replaced by Kevin Kline. I was suitably intrigued that this show would go into an episode with a flashback to the sex scene. It was the scariest scene I’ve had the misfortune of witnessing in a long time, and the primary emotion it evoked was a sense of extreme embarrassment on Kylie Minogue’s part… As others have commented, I’d also say that the young Cate Blanchett The final version of the character seems to have a completely different personality to the previous version, further challenging viewers to buy into the narrative that the professional woman facing apparent blackmail is responsible for everything that happened in the past.
